How to build your website with free webhosting on the CGCI website
If you have not filled out the online form to request the free website hosting you will need to go back and do this first. (Click here) if you have not filled out the form yet)
Once you have filled out the form and requested your free web space:
1. A user account will be emailed to you with username and password.
2. The first time you login you will need to change your password
3. Log in to the CGCI site in the Club/District Website Hosting Information block on the right
4. Click Edit tab
5. Put in your new password
6. Put in your new password again to confirm
7. Scroll down and save your Profile.
8. Click on My Sections tab
9. Click on create new Page link
10. Enter in the Title of your page (This will show up as a page title and become your page name (path)
11. In the section area click on the dropdown box and select which menu you would like this page to be listed under
12 . Go to the body and create your content using this guide for the editor

Each time after this inital login when you want to update your website:
1. Log in to the CGCI site in the Club/District Website Hosting Information block on the right
2. Find block on bottom left of page with your username and click on my account
3. Click on My Sections tab
4. Click on create new Page link
(To edit a page go to that page and click on the Edit tab above it)
5. Enter in the Title of your page (This will show up as a page title and become your page name (path))
6. In the section area click on the dropdown box and select which menu you would like this page to be listed under
7. Go to the body and create your content using this guide

IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. There will be some minor differences between the CGCI editor and the documentation, due to application integration specifications. For instance, not all buttons in the editor documentation are on the CGCI editor. If you don't see all the buttons from the documentation, that is because we are not using all of them. This guide is meant to be a general guide to understand the editor tools we do use.
2. Uploading images to CGCI website is slightly unique to our install. Use these directions.
To upload an image:
1. Within the editor click on the photo icon
2. Click on browse server button
3. Click on the upload button in the top left corner
4. Click on the browse button (or the Choose File button in Safari)
5. Find your file on your local computer
6. Double click the file to select or highlight the file and click on open button
7. Click on the upload button to the right of the browse button.
8. Click on the Send to FCKEditor button on top tabs
9. Click on OK
Additional How To's
1. How To Create a Link for a New Document (Document already on the server/website)
Go to page
Click Edit tab
Go to the body area and highlight the text you want to add a link to
Click on link icon
Click on Browse Server button
Click on the file to highlight/select it
Click on Send to FCKEditor
Click OK button
Scroll down and click Save page
2. How To Create a Link for a New Document (Upload new document to the server/website)
Go to page
Click Edit tab
Highlight the text to link
Click on link icon
Click on Browse Server button
*NOTE: If you are an admin or site editor choose the correct folder to place the file.
Click on Upload button
Click on Browse button
Find the file on your computer
Select the file
Click on Upload button
Highlight file
Click on Send to FCKEditor
Click OK button
Scroll down and click Save page
Test your link and make sure your path is correct for your directory structure
3. How To Create a Link that links to another page or outside web address.
Go to page
Click Edit tab
Go to the body area and highlight the text you want to add a link to
Click on link icon
Paste the web address of the page you want to link to
Click OK button
Scroll down and click Save page
4. Anchor link (Anchors allow you to link to items on the same page this example
is for creating a calendar with Month names being the links)
4a. How to create an anchor in actual calendar months
Type month name
Click to left of month name
Click on insert/edit Anchor icon
Type in anchor name (eg. jan10)
Do this for all months
4b. How to create links to anchors in months listed at top of calendar
Highlight entire word for month
Click on insert/edit link
Click on Link Type drop down menu
Select Link to anchor in text
Click on Select an Anchor By Anchor Name
Select the anchor you want to link to
Click on OK button
