Redlands Horticultural and Improvement Society

Founded in 1889 - Charter Member of California Garden Clubs, Inc., Pacific Region, National Garden Clubs, Inc.

RHIS (Redlands Horitcultural and Improvement Society, Inc.) works to improve the beauty and attractiveness of the Redlands area and, through its educational activities, encourages the love and practice of horticulture among its citizens, both adults and children.

Each year, RHIS sponsors its Annual Flower Show, Garden Tour & Unusual Plant Sale. The 2013 RHIS Annual Flower Show, Garden Tour & Uncommon Plant Sale will be held on Saturday, April 20 - Sunday, April 21, 2013.  RHIS members are all working hard getting ready for this year's show, our 101th Consecutive Annual Flower Show.

RHIS sponsors and/or supports many public programs, including a very active Propagation Yard that is highlighted by semi-annual  plant sales.

General Meetings -- General Meetings are held September through June including a members' holiday  party and a June picnic. The meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM at The Church of the Nazarene, 1307 E. Citrus Ave, Redlands. The holiday/potluck is at 6:00 PM.

Floral Design Group -- The Floral Design Group meets  at 10:00 AM or 7:00 PM on the fourth Thursday of some months. The group meets at the lower level of the main building at Plymouth Village, 945 Salem Drive, Redlands.

Plant Propagation Group -- If you don't have a garden but love to garden, or if you just never get tired of playing in the dirt, this is the group for you. Meetings are at the Propogation Yard, located in Prospect Park, on Cajon in Redlands. Follow the signs to the Carriage House. The group meets on Wednesdays from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
