Members of CGCI Tax-Exempt Group

California Garden Clubs, Inc.

CGCI has registered with the Internal Revenue Service, and was approved by the IRS on November 15, 2006, to provide 501(c)(3), group tax-exemption status to the member clubs and districts that fulfill all the legal requirements.

The CGCI federal tax-exempt group number is 5358.

The California Franchise Tax Board has authorized CGCI to grant similar state tax-exemption status to the members of the CGCI tax-exempt group, retroactive to November 15, 2006.

Donors may deduct donations to these clubs and districts as charitable contributions on Federal and California income tax returns.

NOTE: Approved clubs and districts are recorded annually with the IRS and the California Franchise Tax Board. Please also note that several of CGCI member clubs/districts are not part of CGCI's Group Tax Exemption Program because they have their own, individual 501(c)(3) determination from the IRS. Contact the individual club/district for more information.
