GARDEN CLUB PROJECTS
 
Student Scholarships
One or two $1,000 scholarships are awarded to local high school graduates and college students when their career goals are in the horticulture or environmental field.

Community Beautification
Tahoe City Library: The club has provided funds for this project.
Sierra High School Educational Project: The club has provided funds for this project.
Thunderbird Lodge: The club has provided funds for landscaping. Members also volunteer time to work on cleaning and planting the gardens.
Watson Cabin and Gatekeepers Historical Museum:
The club has provided funds for landscaping. Members also provide time and energy implementing and maintaining the landscaping.
Incline Village Visitor Center: Funding for plants for landscaping.
Rideout Center Community Garden: Funding for tools, garden soil and irrigation systems.

Environmental Projects
Penny Pines reforestation: This program is part of the National Forest Service reforestation in burned-over areas. Our contribution helps pay for the planting of an average of 400 seedlings per acre.

Community Education
North Tahoe Demonstration Garden: The Club provides funds, and our members volunteer their time to work in this environmental setting located in Incline Village.
UC Davis Research Center environmentally friendly garden project.
The club has provided funds for landscaping.
