CGCI WEBSITE HOSTING REQUEST PROCEDURES

Website “hosting” on the CGCI website server is free of charge, but “hosting” is just the beginning of having a website presence. Website “hosting” simply provides a location for you to store your information. It is totally another process to get the information on to the hosting site. Having a web presence on the CGCI main website require you select one Club Website Representative for the creation and editing of your website. This eliminates complications caused by more than one person changing the same page(s).
Please read thethe choices carefully and decide which plan works for your club in terms of web expertise and finances.
Level I Website – This website presence hosted on the CGCI website is the simplest and is FREE. This option allows your club to create pages within the CGCI main website framework (i.e. your pages will be styled the same as the CGCI website), by your Club Website Representative who will be able to “log-on” and create pages in a manner similar to creating a Word document. These pages are easily editable by your club. This plan is good for your club if you would like to get your basic information and photos onto the web to create a web presence for your club. There is some, but minimal training/learning, required for this type of site. This is totally free of charge if your club decides to create your website using
the provided training guide.
Space for your site is free. But help isn’t.
CGCI does not have enough volunteers to help every club with its website. WebTechTherapy has been contracted to supply services to CGCI clubs at a greatly reduced rate. Of course, your club is free to get any outside help you may need. CGCI will provide the space.
Assisted Site Set-Up
1. Level I Website WITH HELP– if you need help to create the content for this site, you may choose to pay a one time setup fee of $300 (for up to 6 pages) to have our service provider, WebTechTherapy(WTT), create your site for your club using Word docs (including photos) that you provide. Once your site is set-up, your club will edit these pages yourself. A training guide will be provided for your Club Website Representative. Any additional pages will be $25 a page.
(NOTE: If you would like WTT to edit these pages sometime in the future the cost is $1 a minute with a minimum 15 minutes.)
