    • Luther Burbank Art & Garden Center, 2050 Yulupa, Santa Rosa, CA 95405.  Award winning photographer Marion Brenner will take us on a photographic trip to Paris viewing some of the 30 gardens and garden projects featured in her new book (Sept 2014) In & Out of Paris: Gardens of Secret Delights.  The garden club will sell the book authored by Zahid Sardar, design editor of the San Francisco Chronicle, and the book will be autographed by Brenner.  Door prize and refreshments after.  Tickets go on sale December 10.  The event benefits Santa Rosa Garden Club's scholarship program for horticulture students at Santa Rosa Junior College.

March 2015

  • March 19:  Santa Rosa Garden Club "The Flower Recipe Book"--Floral design event with Studio Choo
    • 2:00 - 4:00 pm
    • Admission: $25
    • Luther Burbank Art & Garden Center, 2050 Yulupa, Santa Rosa, CA 95404.  Alethea Harampolis and Jill Rizzo, founders of San Francisco's STUDIO CHOO, the hottest floral design studio in the country have created a flower-arranging bible, The Flower Recipe Book.  The arrangements run the gamut of styles and techniques--each one paired with a "flower recipe":  ingredients lists specify the type and quantity of easy-to-find blooms needed; clear instructions detail each step, and hundreds of photos show how to place every stem.  You'll get to see Alethea and Jill serve up fresh, wild and sophisticated arrangements that will be auctioned at the event.  Santa Rosa Garden Club will offer both of their books for sale and autographing at the event.  Door prizes and refreshments after.  Tickets on sale January 10
    • The event is a fundraiser for the Santa Rosa G. C. scholarship program for horticulture and floral design students at Santa Rosa Junior College.

  • March 28-29: Sonoma County Orchid Society A Symphony of Orchids Show and Sale
    • Saturday: 10:00a.m. - 5:00p.m.; Sunday: 10:00a.m. - 4:00p.m.
    • Admission: $8.00
    • Santa Rosa Veterans Bldg, 1351 Maple Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA, 12 vendors will be showing and selling beautiful orchids.  There will be docent tours and 3 skill sessions each day.  Check website for topics and times:

    • South Coast Plaza Village. 1621 W. Sunflower St., Santa Ana CA 92705.  Come marvel at the beauty of thousands of Orchids and learn how you too can bloom these exotic plants right here in Orange County! Orchid Growers from California, South America and Asia will converge on the open green area of South Coast Plaza Village in Santa Ana CA (this is just north of the main South Coast Plaza Campus by the Corner Bakery and Room & Board Store) to display and sell orchids and orchid supplies. Local experts will be answering questions and giving lectures and workshops all weekend long on Orchid Care. Admission and Parking is FREE to the general public.
