March 7: Inland Empire Master Gardeners Club "Pocket Full of Sunshine" -- NGC Near Club Flower Show

March 17:  Southern California Garden Club Fundraiser Bus Tour
9:00 am - 3:00 pm; Admission price: $15.00.  Depart from Balboa Sports Center (parking lot facing Balboa Blvd.), 17015 Burbank Blvd, Encino, CA 91316. A day of adventure in lieu of our March general meeting - we will visit Sunland Water Gardens in Sunland to see many types of water plants - and fish.  We will then head to California State University, Northridge for a picnic lunch (bring your own, but the club will provide desserts and treats) and a tour of the Sustainable Gardens.

March 21: Southern California Garden Club "Nature's Forces," A Standard Flower Show
9:00 am - 2:00 pm; Sepulveda Garden Center, 16633 Magnolia Blvd., Encino, CA 91436-1101.  Our 54th Flower Show is our major educational and fundraising event of the year.  Horticulture, Design and Educational Exhibits.  Plant, White Elephant and Baked Goods Sales.  Non-members are welcome to exhibit.

April 18: Escalon Farmington Community Garden Club Garden Tour 2020
10:00 am - 2:00 pm; Admission price: $20.00; 5 gardens located the communities of Escalon and Farmington including an inside tour of a mansion built in 1868.  The range
of landscapes (from pocket gardens to large estates) will give tour-goers ample ideas to use in their own gardens, and include an educational bent.  Of special note is a magnificent magnolia tree planted in 1935.  In addition, EFCGC will hold their annual plant sale at one of the properties.   Music and refreshments will provide additional highlights for tour-goers.

April 24-25:  San Jose Garden Club Annual Plant Sale
Friday:  10:00 am - 4:00 pm; Saturday:  8:00 am - 2:30 pm. 1190 Camio Ramon, San Jose CA  95125. Offering plants grown and donated by club members. Individual vegetable, succulent, and garden plants, along with wonderful succulent bowls and plantings in several garden items.  All items will be for sale at very reasonable prices!!

April 25:  Fallbrook Garden Club Flower Show & Plant Sale

April 25: Poway Valley Garden Club 42nd Standard Flower Show & Plant Sale
9:00 am - 3:00 pm; Location of event: Old Poway Park 14134 Midland Rd, Poway, CA 92064, Templers
Hall & Gazebo.   The admission is free, and the venue is accessible to all.  The theme, Fantasy in the Garden, is aimed at inspiring the younger gardeners and tapping the creative imaginations of all entrants and visitors.   The day would not be complete without a visit to the PVGC’s fabulous PLANT SALE located in the gazebo and offering bargain prices on home grown specimen plants, dish gardens, and garden art.  The Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer your gardening questions.  Booths will be set up featuring school gardens and hands-on planting for the younger folk.  Design Division: registration deadline April 1, 2020. May 2-3: Vista Garden Club 86th Annual Standard Flower Show
Saturday: 2:00 - 5:00 pm; Sunday: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Jim Porter Recreation Center, Brengle Terrace Park, 1200 Vale Terrace Drive, Vista, CA 92084. Our 86th year of Flower Shows. All are invited to view hundreds of entries of cut flowers, container grown plants, and flower designs. Entries encouraged from other garden clubs and from the public. Entries accepted Friday, May 1 from 4:30 pm to 7 pm and Saturday, May 2 from 7 am to 9 am at the Jim Porter Recreation Center, 1200 Vale Terrace Drive, Vista, CA 92084. Design entries also encouraged.
