March 16-17:  Garden and Floral Arrangers Guild 2019 Huntington Clivia Show
Saturday: 10:00 am-5:00 pm; Sunday: 10:00 am-5:00 pm. Free with Admission to The Huntington. The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens 1151 Oxford Road, San Marino, CA 91108.  The 2019 Huntington Clivia Show (co-sponsored by The North American Clivia Society’s Southern California Chapter and The Huntington with the Garden and Floral Arrangers Guild) is a small standard plant society flower show. Members of the Garden and Floral Arrangers Guild and friends will place entries in Division II (Designs) and Division III (Educational Exhibits).  Floral design entries will be accepted on Friday, March 15 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm and Saturday, March 16 from 8:00 to 10:00 am.  Contact for a copy of the design and educational divisions of the schedule and/or to place a reservation to enter in Division II.

March 23:  Auburn Arrangers Guild Spring Floral Design Workshop
10:00 am-12:00 pm. Admission price: $20.00. Auburn Civic Center, in the Rose Room, 1225 Lincoln Way, Auburn CA 95603. Auburn Arrangers will be hosting a hands on floral design workshop by Helga Sallmon, a NGC Master Flower Show Judge and Sogetsu School Teacher-Sankyo Shihan, on how to make a Creative Floral Design. All material will be supplied. Please bring your own clippers. Members of Auburn Arrangers will be mentor instructors to help you create your own arrangement. Pre-registration required due to limited space.

April 13-14:  Riverside Flower Show and Garden Tour
Saturday: 10:00 am-6:00 pm; Sunday: 10:00 am-4:00 pm.   $15, children under 16 are FREE with paying adult.  Elks Lodge, 6166 Brockton Ave., Riverside CA. 92506. Join us for our 72nd Annual “Bees & Blooms” Riverside Flower Show and Garden Tour. The show features displays of hundreds of prize winning plants, flowers, floral arrangements, garden art, and homegrown produce. Several garden seminars are included and Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer any garden related questions. In addition, tickets include a self-guided tour of 6 beautiful blooming local gardens and shopping at our popular Garden Fair.

April 17:  Merced Garden Club, Inc. "Flower Power" Spring Garden Tour
10:00 am-3:00 pm; Admission price: $20.00.  MGCI annual fund raiser to support scholarships, civic beautification and community projects.  Tour five distinct gardens and enlighten your gardening senses.  Enjoy the country side and sights of Merced.  Visit gardens full of treasurers made by the homeowner.  See a new fresh garden close to the 18th hole of Merced Golf and Country club.  View an artist's garden with handmade art work

April 26-27:  San Jose Garden Club Annual Plant Sale
Friday: 12:00 pm-4:00 pm, Saturday: 8:00 am-2:30 pm; 1190 Camino Ramon, San Jose, CA  95125.  The club’s annual fundraising sale offers plants grown and donated by its members.  Wonderful pottery and garden art will also be available.  Along with individual vegetable, succulent, and garden plants, there will be wonderful succulent wreaths, bowls and plantings in several garden items – all planted by our members.  All items will be for sale at very reasonable prices!!  ALL proceeds from the sale are used to support such groups and activities as: La Mesa Verde Garden Project.  Assists participant families with all materials needed to grow an organic garden in their own home.  Our City Forest.  This Silicon Valley non-profit provides trees for home parking strips, front and back yards and teaches schools and communities what they need to know about growing and caring for an urban forest. Loaves and Fishes Kitchen Garden.  A nonprofit organization that grows food to offer a source of fresh produce for nutritious meals to the needy.  Produce grown is used to augment the produce donated to Loaves & Fishes.  Veggilution. A nonprofit community farm dedicated to creating a more sustainable food system in San Jose. Valley Verde.  A nonprofit that provides low income families in Santa Clara County with the knowledge and tools needed to grow and maintain their own organic vegetable gardens at no cost. Lean Ave Roses.  Club members maintain 200 City of San Jose rose bushes on Lean Avenue as part of a City of San Jose Project.

April 27:  Temecula Valley Garden Club 33rd Annual Flower Show
9:00 am-4:00 pm; Admission Free;  Temecula Community Recreation Center 30875 Rancho Vista Rd. Temecula, CA 92592.  There will be horticulture, design, photography, education, and youth exhibits to enjoy. This is an NGC club show and will be judged by NGC judges.  There will be refreshments, a master gardener information booth, and plant sale on site as well as an opportunity drawing of items found at local businesses and by local artisans.

April 27: San Juan Capistrano Garden Club “Stroll Through The Gardens Plus, Plants Galore & More”
10:00 am-4:00 pm. Admission price: $25.00.  Come and stroll through five lovely gardens, selected for their varying styles and hardscapes. The self-guided tour allows you to go at your own pace. Plus this year you will an opportunity to purchase unusual plants, in-door decorative arrangements and lovely pieces of garden art at the boutique.

April 27-28: Cactus & Succulent Society of San Jose Show and Sale
Saturday: 9:00 am-5:00 pm; Sunday: 10:00 am-4:00 pm.  Peterson Middle School, 1380 Rosalia Ave, Sunnyvale, 94087. The Sale will feature rare and unusual cacti and succulents, pottery, planting media, as well as related merchandise.  Knowledgeable Society members will be available during to answer your questions, and there will also be planting demos on both days at 11:00 and 2:30. You will be amazed by the plants and photographs on the Show side. All are welcome.

May 3: Laguna Beach Garden Club Gate & Garden Tour

The Club will host its annual Gate & Garden Tour, a major fundraiser for educational school gardens, local scholarships and community projects. This year’s docent-led walking tour will visit breathtaking gardens in a stunning private gated community and adjacent neighborhood. The festive event will offer artisanal margaritas and Mexican fare, free refreshments, plein-air painters in several gardens and a raffle of prizes from local artists and businesses.  The tour will begin and end at beautiful Arabella Laguna Historic Cottages.  Buses will continuously shuttle attendees from Arabella Laguna to the first garden and back at the end of the walking route. To make the last tour of the day, you must arrive at Arabella by 12:30 pm.  Tickets are limited due to the exclusive location of the tour.  Tickets will sell out quickly, so please buy early!  Starting in March, you can purchase $50 advance tickets on our website by credit card (plus a handling fee).  After April 26, subject to availability, ticket price is $60 (credit card plus a handling fee).  On the day of the tour tickets, subject to availability, can be purchased at Arabella Laguna ($60  cash, check or credit card plus a handling fee).

May 4-5: Vista Garden Club 2019 Flower Show “A Garden Cornucopia”

Jim Porter Recreation Center, Brengle Terrace Park, 1200 Vale Terrace, Vista, CA 92084. The Flower Show attracts over 400 entries in flowers, fruits, vegetables, and floral design. The Vista Garden Club would like to encourage anyone to enter the show. Gardeners who are excited to enter should know that they should have plants in their possession by February 3, 2019. You may enter as many specimens as you like at no charge.

May 7:  Roseville Better Gardens Club Annual Plant Sale
