March 6:  Palomar District Floral Design Forum

12:30pm:  “FLOWER POWER” Our most popular Program.  Watch as local college student designers race against the clock to complete a Surprise Package design from material, container and theme.  Then, like a 3 ring circus, they show a “signature Design,” a “round robin” and then a “wrap up” design.

12:30pm:  Mitsuko Takeya, Master Instructor O'Hara School of  Ikebana.  Enjoy the simplicity, meaning and grace of her designs.  We are pleased that Mitsuko could fit us in between her many classes.
April 8-9:  Riverside Flower Show Committee Flower Show
Saturday:  10:00 am-6:00 pm; Sunday:  10:00 am-4:00 pm
Admission price: $10.  Elks Lodge, 6166 Brockton Ave., Riverside, CA. 92506. Come join the fun at this family friendly community garden show, now in its 70th year! Enjoy your day outdoors while getting fresh ideas for your garden at the self-guided tour of unique and spectacular local gardens. At the Elks Lodge, "Grow 'Em and Show 'Em" is our theme at the Flower Show where you will see hundreds of prize winning plants, flowers, and crafts (starting at 1:00 Saturday), and pick up a special something at our free Garden Fair while you're there. All this and more is included in your 2 day ticket for just $10 presale, $12 at the door. Children under 16 are FREE with paying adult. April 22:  Santa Rosa Garden Club Annual Plant Sale
9:00 am - 2:00 pm; Admission price: $free; Luther Burbank Art & Garden Center, 2050 Yulupa, Santa
Rosa CA 95404.  Features plants grown by members, including some purchased as starts from a local wholesaler then transplanted and nurtured by members.  The sale includes drought tolerant and deer resistant plants including succulents, perennials, native plants, bird and butterfly plants, shrubs and
more!  A special collection of garden topiaries will be offered for sale.  Bring your knives and garden tools for sharpening. You’ll also find many garden related items at the "indoor garage sale".

April 29:  Fallbrook Garden Club Garden Tour
8:30 a.m. Ticket booth & Plant Sale open; 9am-3pm: Gardens open.  Starting point:  Fallbrook Historical Society grounds, 260 Rockycrest, Fallbrook. Tickets $20 (advance), $25 (day of tour). Six-eight local, private gardens, plant sale and local craft vendors.  Information:  fallbrookgardenclub.org
