The National Garden Club Scholarship Chairman, Bonnie Borne, has requested that CGCI do a survey to find out how much our clubs donate for scholarships every year. This would include club money spent for a particular student project at a school, college or university, as well as money for scholarships. If you have not sent an email directly to Albert Chang, CGCI Co-chairman for Scholarship (afchangusa@gmail.com), with your scholarship details, your club will not be counted in this survey.
If your club does not give a scholarship, please send an email with that information, so that the CGCI Scholarship Committee does not have to contact your club directly, either by email or by telephone. Click here for form
Save the dates: April 22-24, 2013 to attend the Pacific Region Convention to be held at the Hilton Sonoma Wine Country Hotel in Santa Rosa, CA. You have an opportunity as a club and/or district to help host this fun event and be part of the Pacific Region Convention team! See attachment for details and convention highlights. Consider being a delegate for CGCI (12 delegates are needed in total) at the same time! We hope you will join us!
Thanks to contact made through Finkel and Binder, editors from This Old House magazine recently invited NGC to submit quality photographs of members’ gardens for a future article. Approval to participate has been voted on by the Executive Committee. Several gardens from across the country will be featured in a spring or summer article. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the talents of our members and bring positive publicity to NGC. Additionally, we will amass photos that we can use for other PR or educational opportunities.
